Hello everyone out there!

Aaron Lee here. Welcome to my Blog. This blog is about model aircraft and their aerodynamics.

Since you found this Blog, would like to share my hobby, maybe we could discuss and talk about it. I started building plastic model aircrafts since in my primary school days. In my secondary school I learned some basic knowledge how to build a flyable model plane from Junior Flying Club. I started my first control-line plane in year 1976. It make of Balsa Wood with two-wire control system to control the model fly up and down. The model plane is flown in a circle; it flown round and round that makes me get dizzy in my first few flights.

I like to fly highly maneuverable Combat model plane where two pilots are flown at a time. It is a very exciting and challenging event. Each combat model attach with a paper tail streamer. Pilots control their combat model to cut opponent’s tail streamer as many times as possible with the propeller.

I also ventured into radio control planes. The plane maneuver in the air is controlled remotely by a hand held controller box called “transmitter”. The receiver on the plane controls the servomotors which move the control surface that corresponds to the position of the joysticks on the transmitter.

At that time this hobby was relatively expensive to me and I couldn’t find the time to indulge in the hobby as I further in my education. As a result, I have put aeromodelling into cold storage. I wanted to pick it up again after my studies. But after my studies, I was busy caught up with my job and career……………

Now I’m back and looking into electric powered model plane. The number of hobbyists flying electric powered plane is growing. May be because the models are easy to construct and the absence of fuel mess. Therefore, the beginners like to start with electric powered model plane. Also, there are many varieties of electric models available in the market suit any of our budgets.

However, aeromodelling is my interest. I would like to share my knowledge and experience with you. I will post many materials and tips that related to aeromodelling. Hope the materials could help anyone are interested.
